¡Si Ves Algo, Di Algo!

slowly relearning spanish, one public transportation announcement at a time...

Things Today that Restore My Faith in New York City:

  1. The Conductor on the G {or was it the L or N?} train announcing over the intercom to all passengers “Have a safe, happy and healthy weekend everybody; happy Friday”. {that was a first!}
  2. The sun shining on 6th Ave during my lunch break—stopping in the middle of the sidewalk to close my eyes, look up, and soak up all it’s warmth and beauty.
  3. A lady offering me free sample of a fancy french gourmet sandwich en route to buy some soup—bounding with strangers over deliciously bizarre occurrence.
  4. Seeing the beauty of the city through two of my dearest visiting friends’ and their company’s eyes—hearing about their day’s adventures.

all systems go, 5 days until i’m back in the city. sad to leave spain for awhile, but ready to return, and this time, ready to see it in living color.

set to leave spain, heading back to nyc in 3 weeks, and can’t lie…fucking feel 100% like this, even with all good things on the horizon…suppose that’s normal when you know you’re leaving one thing for the next, no? hello life.
